  • BD FacsAria SORP 6-Laser

    Features:

    The BD FACSAria SORP 5-laser is a high speed multilaser droplet cell sorter. This system is fitted with five lasers – excitation lines are 355nm, 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, 640nm and 750nm and can collect up to 17 parameters including forward and side scatter. Due to the wide range of excitation wavelengths, many available fluorescent probes utilized in flow cytometry can be accommodated. The Aria has four-way and single-cell sorting capabilities and is equipped with ACDU allowing for slide and plate (6, 24, 48, 96 and 384 wells) sorting.

    Features:

    With new automation taking care of all the sort stream setup and monitoring, the new BD FACSMelody cell sorter makes running a sorter as easy as running an analyzer. User friendly BD FACSChorus™ software provides researchers a supportive and comprehensive workflow experience. Ease of use comes without compromise: built with exclusive BD core technology, the BD FACSMelody cell sorter is derived from the highly cited and proven BD FACSAria™ cell sorter, delivering superior performance and reliability. This system is fitted with two lasers – excitation lines are 405nm and 488nm, and will be upgraded to house a third 561nm laser by April 2017. The instrument can collect up to 11 parameters including forward and side scatter. Due to the wide range of excitation wavelengths, many available fluorescent probes utilized in flow cytometry can be accommodated. The sorter has two-way and single-cell sorting capabilities and is equipped with ACDU allowing for slide and plate (6, 24, 48, 96 and 384 wells) sorting.

    This instrument is housed in a BioProtect IV-LE-Bio Containment Hood; thus allowing for sorting of potentially bio-hazardous samples and a broader range of live unfixed human cells.

     

  • BD FacsAria IIu 3-Laser (to be installed in April 2017)

    Features:

    The BD FACSAria IIu 3-laser is a high speed multilaser droplet cell sorter. This system is fitted with three lasers – excitation lines are 405nm, 488nm and 640nm and can collect up to 11 parameters including forward and side scatter. The Aria has four-way and single-cell sorting capabilities and is equipped with ACDU allowing for slide and plate (6, 24, 48, 96 and 384 wells) sorting.

     

  • BD LSRFortessa 6-Laser

    Features:

    The Fortessa is a 16 color capable bench-top multilaser flow cytometer equipped with six lasers.  Excitation lines are at 488nm, 355nm, 403nm, 552nm, 640nm and 690nm wavelengths.  It is also equipped with a High Throughput Sampler (HTS) which allows for sample loading from a 96 or 384 well microtiter plate for screening assays.

     

  • BD LSRFortessa 6-Laser (Instrument #2) (to be upgraded to 30-parameter X50 in April 2017)

    Features:

    The Fortessa is a 16 color capable bench-top multilaser flow cytometer equipped with six lasers.  Excitation lines are at 488nm, 355nm, 405nm, 552nm, 640nm and 685nm wavelengths.  It is currently not equipped with a High Throughput Sampler (HTS).

    This instrument will undergo a major upgrade to a 30-parameter Fortessa X50 configuration in April 2017

     

     

  • Apogee Micro-Plus Flow Cytometer (to be installed in May 2017)

    Analyzer

     

    Features:

    The new Micro-PLUS is capable of measuring particles which scatter 1000 times less than 200nm latex beads,tuned for extreme small particle applications: extracellular vesicles, virus applications (flow virometry), protein aggregation, bacteria, nanoparticles. The amount of scattered light falls rapidly with particle size so this exceptional performance is required for extreme small particle applications and opens up new areas of research. The instrument will house 3 spatially separated lasers, 12 optical detectors including novel noise reduction algorithm implemented in an Altera™ FPGA

     

     

  • Cellometer K2 Fluorescent Viability Cell Counter

    Features:

    The Cellometer K2 utilizes bright field imaging and dual-fluorescence imaging to quickly and accurately identify and count individual cells, including primary cells from peripheral blood, cord blood, bone marrow, and other complex samples for use in a wide range of research areas. Dual-color fluorescence allows for staining of live and dead nucleated cells, generating accurate viability results even in the presence of debris, platelets, and red blood cells. Cell count, concentration, diameter, and % viability are automatically calculated and reported. Cellometer K2 Image Cytometer has the ability to perform basic cell-based assays such as cell cycle, apoptosis, and green fluorescent protein (GFP) population analysis.

  • Beckman Coulter ViCell

    Features:

    The Beckman Coulter Vi-Cell is an automated cell viability analyzer that uses the trypan blue dye exclusion method.  It measures; % viability, total cell concentration, total viable cell concentration and mean cell size.
